It is always a special joy to plan weddings for the same family, and we were thrilled to join Peyton and Rob as they celebrated their marriage. Having met them through Peyton’s sister, Lizzie, we already felt like part of the family as we approached their stunning summer wedding. With their closest friends and family gathered, this sweet couple began their married life on a cloudless day at The Clifton Inn in one of Virginia’s most beautiful cities: Charlottesville.
Peyton and Rob, alongside Peyton’s mother, Mary, brought an incredible sense of organization and vision to the partial planning process. Having worked with us before, Mary was an invaluable partner, helping to ensure every detail was considered. As we brought the logistics for the big day together, it was inspiring to watch this dynamic mother-daughter duo in action. They shared a beautiful, cohesive vision for the design of the wedding, giving careful attention to every element that would make the day feel truly personal.

with a Shared Vision
The design theme for this summer wedding was built around a classic, elegant palette of soft pinks and greens—perfectly capturing the fresh essence of a June celebration. Custom details elevated the look, from pink and green cocktail napkins sporting Peyton and Rob’s initials to a pink overlay on the cake table embroidered with the same personalization.
Peyton’s attire was truly one of a kind, featuring a gorgeous wedding dress with unique pink and green floral detailing. To weave family history into the decor, sentimental pieces were incorporated throughout the venue. Silver trays and crystal bud vases from Peyton’s family were used to decorate the tables beautifully, with the silver trays holding the custom cocktail napkins. A special handkerchief, embroidered with Peyton’s first initial and a blue heart (her something blue), was wrapped around her bouquet, adding an unseen, intimate layer of memory to her walk down the aisle.

Peyton and Rob made guest comfort a top priority, ensuring every friend and family member felt welcomed and cherished from the moment they arrived. Their thoughtfulness began with custom welcome bags awaiting guests in their hotel rooms. These bags were a warm nod to Peyton's roots, featuring local favorites like Ukrop’s cookies and Virginia peanuts from Libbie Market—a sweet taste of Richmond before the celebration began. This dedication to hospitality continued until the very last shuttle departed, making every step of the guest experience seamless and joyous.
A Night of Pure Celebration
More than anything, Peyton and Rob wanted their wedding to be a true party—a chance to wholeheartedly celebrate with the people they love most. They carefully designed the reception to foster energy and fun. Instead of a formal seated dinner, stations were offered, encouraging guests to mingle freely and creating a buzzing, social atmosphere. This open format perfectly complemented the entertainment for the evening: a dynamic, high-energy band that knew exactly how to pack the dance floor and keep the spirit of celebration high all night long. It was an evening of unrestrained joy, perfectly reflecting the couple's fun-loving nature.
